Nature is Mary's source of inspiration, and most likely her subject matter. She searches for beauty, color and excitement in her surroundings. Her work is identified by vivid colors in a realistic style. Mary's art work is very diverse in terms of subject matters and consistent in an unique style. Her style in portraits capture the expression and soul!
Since early age Mary shared her excitement for art. During her teenage years she started with formal art instructions and guidance. In 1988, she completed art training from Florida School of the Arts. She continues taking workshops to further her art education and challenge her artistic growth, by traveling yearly within the United States and Europe.
Mary has two working studios, one in Historic Downtown Wake Forest at Sunflower Studio & Gallery and another at home. Her work shows in two different galleries in Raleigh. She is an art instructor in Oils, Watercolors and Drawing for the Wake Forest Parks and Recreational Department.
